How much did your LASIK eye surgery cost?

Published by on April 8, 2010

And did insurance cover all or any of it?

I hear ads on the radio and see billboards all the time saying things like, "starting at $299 per eye" and such. That seems very reasonable, but is it for real?

Honestly, its better you consult a specialist to find out what’s best for you. I really want to help but I don’t think I can give better answers than specialist do. Sorry.

good luck

How much does LASIK eye surgery cost on average?

Published by on April 6, 2010

and to anyone who’s actually had the surgery before, is it worth it?

The optimal time to have LASIK eye surgery is in your 30s or early 40s. Having it done when you’re very young is not always the greatest idea because your eyes can change later on. You should consult with a reputable eye surgeon. Someone who is more concerned about your welfare than making a fast buck.

Most of the bigger LASIK surgery practices do offer financing and this makes sense because you’re going to use this over the rest of your life. I wouldn’t go with the doctor that offers you the cheapest price. You only get one set of eyes.

How much does laser eye surgery cost and how risky is it?

Published by on April 2, 2010

I’ve been thinking about getting my vision corrected with laser. Does anyone know about how much it would cost and how risky it would be? (I currently have no medical conditions with my eyes except that I can’t see anything beyond a foot of me)

Laser eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and lasik surgery in India by a company called Forerunners Healthcare. The Price for dental and lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

How much does lasic eye surgery cost? To correct nearsightedness?

Published by on March 31, 2010

Is lasic eye surgery painful? does anyone have any info on it?

I got mine done before christmas. completely painless, during and even after. my eyes were a LITTLE dry, but nothing unbearable, and even if it did hurt, it’s definitely worth it. I was in there for about 2 minutes. and it cost 2990 for BOTH eyes. also, don’t get lasik, it’s not a good. get PRK instead. It’s usually more expensive, but much much better in the long run!
